MIKE’S AMERICAN GRILL is a locally owned restaurant located at the former SAL & SAM’S, serving lunch Mon.-Fri. and dinner Tues.-Sat. Chef Mark McInnis brings in crowds with his casual approach to food, which is simple and delicious. The atmosphere is casual and the offerings affordable.
Mark McInnis, a native of London, England, began his culinary career in Florida at age 18. A graduate of CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA, McInnis moved to New Orleans where he learned the local cuisine from such notables as Emeril at NOLA restaurant and Master French Chef René Bajeux, formerly of the WINDSOR COURT HOTEL’s GRILL ROOM. At the time, the GRILL ROOM was Louisiana’s only Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond restaurant. McInnis then re-located to Vermont for a period where he was the Executive Sous Chef at the WOODSTOCK INN & RESORT and later, Executive Chef of then sister properties KEDRON VALLEY INN and the LAUREN INN & RESTAURANT.
Mark McInnis’ credentials, creativity and tireless work ethic are apparent in the quality and variety of offerings at MIKE’S AMERICAN GRILL. MIKE’S AMERICAN GRILL is currently available for private functions and will soon offer catering services.
